Biography

Mark has been in the bus industry for 34 years and has experience in a number of roles including Automotive Electrician, Workshop Manager, Depot/Operations Manager, Area Manager and General Manager. The Transit Systems Australian Public Transport Division of the Kelsian Group currently operate around 3,000 buses including 38 Battery Electric Buses (36 in Sydney and 2 x in Perth), with a further 19 to be delivered in a few weeks. In addition to this, Mark is working with multiple State transport agencies on additional Battery Electric Bus and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Bus projects. His portfolio also includes business intelligence focused on benchmarking business units, as well as ZEB total cost of ownership and various funding models.

Bart Moonen is the Executive General Manager of Infinitev, which is pioneering a circular economy for EV batteries in Australia and New Zealand. The vision is simple: reuse, repurpose and recycle valuable battery assets – it’s better for the environment and the bottom line. Bart previously held the role of Chief Innovation Officer at Amotiv Limited, an ASX200 automotive pure play company with roots in ANZ and growing global footprint. Prior to this, Bart worked in various strategy and innovation roles at large corporates in ANZ and a US-based advanced manufacturing incubator.

Heiko Bauer, born in 1971 in Bruchsal, Germany, is the CEO of CarMedialab GmbH, a subsidiary of the INIT Group. With a degree in computer science from KIT, Karlsruhe, he has over 25 years of experience in automotive software and data acquisition. In 2003, he founded CarMedialab, focusing on smart charging solutions. His team developed the smart charging protocol with Daimler in 2008, laying the foundation for today's ISO 15118 standard. Under his leadership, CarMedialab launched MOBILEcharge in 2020, a cutting-edge charge management system for electric bus fleets. Bauer is a passionate advocate for sustainable mobility solutions.

Colin Anderson is the General Manager of Tropic Wings Charters & Tours for the CaPTA Group based in Cairns, Tropical North Queensland. Locally owned and operated by the Woodward family, the CaPTA Group operates Tours & Charters, wildlife parks & Attractions in the stunning Tropical North Queensland. Along with Tropic Wings Cairns Tours & Charters, the group also operates Rainforestation Nature Park & Australian Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda, Wildlife Habitat in Port Douglas, Cairns Koalas & Creatures and coach sales and service through ABC Sales & Maintenance. The group has also expanded into tourism and indigenous training through the Careers Training Centre. With more than 30 years’ experience in the tourism and transport industries, Colin has spent the past 3 years at Tropic Wings leading the recovery from the COVID Pandemic and overseeing the transition to Battery Electric Vehicles for the fleet. He currently overseas a fleet of 45 coaches, including 13 BEV’s and a Team of 60.
