Varenya Mohan-Ram is Executive Director of the Bus Industry Confederation (BIC) He brings over 30 years of strategic management, government and cross-sector experience to the post. Having worked across multiple transportation sectors, including bus, aviation, road, waste, furniture removal, warehouse and refrigerated transport, he has made supporting industry the cornerstone of his career.
Varenya’s most recent prior role was the National Business Relationship Manager at TeamSuper (formerly TWUSUPER Fund), saw him play corporate liaison for the largest transport and logistics companies contributing to the Fund.
He has been a member of various industry committees and stood on the boards of organisations such as the Refrigerated Warehouse & Transport Association of Australia Ltd (RWTA), the Service Industry Training Advisory Council, Asthma Australia (Northern Territory), and the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), of which he was Chairman (NT Group).
Additionally, he was a National Executive Member of the Australian Labor Party between 2011 and 2013 and headed up the Northern Territory Branch as General Secretary.

Jason O’Dwyer is the Executive Director of the Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC), the peak representative body for private bus and coach operators in Queensland. He brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, industrial relations, and policy advocacy across multiple industries, including transport, construction, mining, health, and community services. Jason has held senior leadership roles in industry, employer associations, including Commerce Queensland, the Master Electricians Australia, and the Baking Industry Association, giving him deep insight into workforce, regulatory, and commercial issues across sectors.
At QBIC, Jason leads strategic advocacy on safety, regulatory and contract reform, human resource and workforce development, and championing initiatives such as school and commercial sector funding and contracts, safety duties and operator obligations, and the transition to zero-emission buses. He is also a strong proponent of diversity and inclusion. Recognized for his solutions-focused approach, Jason works closely with government, industry, and community stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes for operators, workers, and passengers alike.

Luke is an experienced Executive Director holding senior positions in public, private, education and for-purpose sectors, domestically and internationally. A self-proclaimed generalist, Luke can develop genuine relationships with broad stakeholder groups and is driven to make a positive impact in all that he does. A common thread throughout Luke's career is that he is a people first leader, inspired by the stories of individuals and what makes them tick. He prioritises family time and adventures in the Tassie wild.

Natalie is an accomplished transport professional with over 20 years of experience in the public transport industry, spanning both government and private sectors. She began her career in 2001 with the Public Transport Authority’s School Bus Services, progressing to Team Leader for the Southern Region of WA. She later joined Australian Transit Group as Operations Manager and was promoted to the Senior Management Team, overseeing multiple regional and interstate depots.
Natalie then held the role of Operations Manager at Belbaker Bus Charter in Queensland before returning to WA to join Path Transit as School Bus Manager, later advancing to Business Development Manager.
She recently joined West Coast Bus Charters as a Senior Manager, bringing a wealth of operational, contractual, and strategic leadership expertise. Natalie is known for her hands-on management style, strong stakeholder engagement, and her proven ability to lead complex transport operations—making her a valuable asset in the public transport sector.
