John Lee was the Chair of the NSW Bus Industry Taskforce which included representatives of the community, local government, trade unions and employers. John has extensive experience in the private and public sectors, in multiple sectors including tourism, transport, innovation, and sport. He has extensive experience in the bus industry having been MD of two private bus companies as well as CEO of the State Transit Authority, the Director General of Transport for NSW, the Director General of Premier and Cabinet in NSW and Director General of the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport in Queensland.
John has been the Chief Executive of Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) and chief executive of Casinos and Resorts Australia. He has even had time to pursue his first love as NRL Club CEO of both the Roosters and Souths. Whilst in Queensland John also ventured onto the Board of the North Queensland Cowboys.
John is recognised for his leadership skills, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and strong communication skills.

Emma Flynn is the Company Secretary of Steering Healthy Minds, an industry-led initiative dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing across Australia’s transport sector. With a degree in psychology and a strong background in workplace wellbeing, Emma plays a key role in driving collaboration between industry partners, government, and mental health organisations to create lasting cultural change.
She has overseen the delivery of mental health training to more than 900 transport workers nationwide and has helped position Steering Healthy Minds as an award-winning program recognised for its innovation and impact. Passionate about building psychologically safe workplaces, Emma continues to champion initiatives that ensure transport workers have the skills, support, and awareness needed to look after themselves and each other.

Keith Govias is Workplace Safety and Risk Principal at EML, with over 12 years’ experience leading safety, workers’ compensation, and public liability programs across iconic Australian brands. He has supported high-risk sectors including transport, health, and manufacturing through his work with Gallagher, a global insurance broker. Keith holds a Master’s in OHSE Management and is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow in Ethical Leadership. He has advised on WHS and mental health policy through national regulatory panels and chaired initiatives addressing workplace mental health, including the VTA HeadFit, BusinessFit Project. His insights into driver safety, occupational violence, and psychological wellbeing bring a strategic lens to today’s transport industry challenges.
