John Lee was the Chair of the NSW Bus Industry Taskforce which included representatives of the community, local government, trade unions and employers. John has extensive experience in the private and public sectors, in multiple sectors including tourism, transport, innovation, and sport. He has extensive experience in the bus industry having been MD of two private bus companies as well as CEO of the State Transit Authority, the Director General of Transport for NSW, the Director General of Premier and Cabinet in NSW and Director General of the Department of Tourism, Innovation and Sport in Queensland. John has been the Chief Executive of Tourism and Transport Forum (TTF) and chief executive of Casinos and Resorts Australia. He has even had time to pursue his first love as NRL Club CEO of both the Roosters and Souths. Whilst in Queensland John also ventured onto the Board of the North Queensland Cowboys. John is recognised for his leadership skills, strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and strong communication skills.

Thomas Forsberg has been at Volvo Buses for over 14 years, and has looked after everything from complete vehicle features to driver assistance & automation, and now holds the role of Head of Safety for Volvo Bus Corporation globally. Thomas will present on Safety within a changing global platform.

Emma Flynn is the National Coordinator of Steering Healthy Minds, which focuses on managing mental health within the transport industry. Emma is a clinical psychologist, and holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and has experience working across the lifespan in specialised youth mental health services and adult inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. Emma’s interests include the assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship difficulties, personality disorders, and complex trauma. Emma is passionate about providing therapy that is safe, collaborative and evidence-based. She has experience as a DBT group facilitator and draws from this as well as her training in CBT, trauma therapy and schema therapy in her work with clients.

Keith Govias is Workplace Safety and Risk Principal at EML, with over 12 years’ experience leading safety, workers’ compensation, and public liability programs across iconic Australian brands. He has supported high-risk sectors including transport, health, and manufacturing through his work with Gallagher, a global insurance broker. Keith holds a Master’s in OHSE Management and is a Vincent Fairfax Fellow in Ethical Leadership. He has advised on WHS and mental health policy through national regulatory panels and chaired initiatives addressing workplace mental health, including the VTA HeadFit, BusinessFit Project. His insights into driver safety, occupational violence, and psychological wellbeing bring a strategic lens to today’s transport industry challenges.

Tony is a respected leader in Australia’s superannuation sector, known for his strategic vision and commitment to enhancing the employer experience across the retirement savings landscape. As Executive Manager, Employer Experience, Tony plays a critical role in shaping how employers interact with superannuation services—ensuring seamless, compliant, and value-driven engagement that supports both business needs and member outcomes.
