Maximising Fleet Electrification: Data-Driven Strategies for a Zero-Emission Future

Biography

Evan Beaver is a mechanical engineer who has been deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure since 2014. Through this period he has designed and delivered networks for Tesla Motors Australia, Chargefox, NRMA, RACQ and RAA, across about $50m worth of new infrastructure. This experience has led to a deep understanding of the costs, barriers and advantages of different charger, site and electricity connection designs, and lead to novel solutions in the Australian market. Through projects involving dynamic connection agreements, battery supported charging and site integrated renewables Evan has a toolkit of solutions that have been tested in different situations. His core focus now is applying these lessons to the bus sector, working as Infrastructure Deployment lead for Betterfleet on depot and fleet electrification projects all over Australia. He has a passion for finding the most cost effective solutions to complex problems, working within operational limits, and there is no end to the solutions required for electrifying bus depots.

Biography

Michael has over 30 years of experience in the payments industry delivering innovative card and payment solutions in Asia Pacific, Western Europe, Southern Africa and North America. He founded littlepay in late 2015, where he successfully developed the first open-loop Model 2 PAYG payment gateway that was deployed from mid-2017 by many UK transport operators, including three of the big four. Michael has experience in lean start-ups, cloud-based platforms and payment technologies - he has managed a global fintech investment portfolio, been an independent Director of numerous payment Boards, and has provided advisory services C-level executives and professional investors globally.
