Renée holds a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Montréal. Since joining GIRO in 2002, Renée has successfully held a range of project-management and executive positions, including several years as vice-president of all HASTUS project activities in the European and South American markets. Renée has been CEO since January 1st 2024. Renee will be co-presenting with GIRO Account Manager, Karl Samaha. Karl previously specialized in software implementation for operations and rail projects for over 5 years at GIRO – making them a fantastic account manager for our bus and rail clients in Asia, Australia, and the USA. This experience provides them with the knowledge to discuss your challenges from almost every angle, suggesting unique solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Evan Beaver is a mechanical engineer who has been deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure since 2014. Through this period he has designed and delivered networks for Tesla Motors Australia, Chargefox, NRMA, RACQ and RAA, across about $50m worth of new infrastructure. This experience has led to a deep understanding of the costs, barriers and advantages of different charger, site and electricity connection designs, and lead to novel solutions in the Australian market. Through projects involving dynamic connection agreements, battery supported charging and site integrated renewables Evan has a toolkit of solutions that have been tested in different situations. His core focus now is applying these lessons to the bus sector, working as Infrastructure Deployment lead for Betterfleet on depot and fleet electrification projects all over Australia. He has a passion for finding the most cost effective solutions to complex problems, working within operational limits, and there is no end to the solutions required for electrifying bus depots.

As Business Intelligence Manager for Transperth at the Public Transport Authority (PTA) of Western Australia, she leads the uplift of business intelligence capability and ensures data assets are accurate, secure, and aligned with strategic goals. Christina is passionate about sustainability, transparency, data integrity, data governance, and continuous improvement. She excels at identifying gaps, streamlining processes, and driving automation to enhance performance and operational efficiency. Renowned for delivering robust, scalable solutions, she has a proven track record of managing initiatives end to end – from concept through to implementation and seamless transition to business-as-usual. Christina’s leadership continues to shape the role of data in driving innovation and digital transformation in public transport.

With over 15 years of experience in building SaaS products for B2B businesses, Belinda has a strong background in product management, strategy, and software development. She was a founding team member and Head of Product at HROnboard, where she took a cloud-based HR onboarding platform from concept to a market-leading solution with over 250 enterprise customers in Australia and New Zealand. Belinda has extensive experience in defining product development roadmaps, launching new technologies, and scaling SaaS platforms. As CPO of tikpay, her expertise in managing technical teams and aligning product vision with business strategy has driven the success of multiple transport ticketing projects.

Kayne oversees Kinetic’s zero-emissions program across Australia and New Zealand, working closely with senior leaders and operational teams to drive the electrification of the company’s facilities and fleet. With over 28 years’ industry experience, including most recently as Kinetic’s procurement lead in New Zealand, Kayne has a successful track record transitioning bus networks to zero emissions and plays a key role advancing Kinetic’s commitment to decarbonisation.
