Fiona Simon is the CEO of the Australian Hydrogen Council (AHC), the peak body for the Australian hydrogen industry.
AHC connects the hydrogen industry and its stakeholders in building a secure, clean and resilient energy future that sustainably produces and uses hydrogen within the energy mix. AHC’s members are from a range of sectors, including energy, transport, consulting, banking and technology.
Prior to joining the Australian Hydrogen Council, Fiona worked for close to 20 years in energy policy and regulation, specialising in energy retail competition and consumer protection matters.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne. She has published a well-regarded academic book on retail energy regulation in Australia.

Ian Porter is the Strategic Adviser and Head of the Net Zero Unit, within the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communication and the Arts.
Ian brings more than thirty years experience in climate change, energy and sustainability policy, as well as working across government, public service, consulting and the not-for-profit sector – including most recently heading up program delivery for Climateworks.
Established in late 2022, the Net Zero Unit will identify how the infrastructure portfolio can work across government and with industry to help achieve net zero and improve the resilience of our transport networks and supply chains in the face of increasing extreme weather events. It will further help advance the Government’s emissions commitments by connecting government agencies, industry and climate experts to translate the latest research into action, while ensuring climate expertise is embedded into policies and investments.

Bernd Gorenflo is the Managing Director and Head of Sales Electromobility at INIT SE / CarMedialab GmbH. He holds a masters degree in Business Management Renewable Energy with 6 years business experience in IT systems for the world of electric buses, especially smart charging.
Bernd is a active member in APTA, UITP and VDV working groups & training sessions for the electrification of public transport and is passionately working on eco-friendly public transport by distributing software for efficient vehicle utilization and smart charging.

Jack Kotlyar is a seasoned professional with over 23 years of experience in the energy sector. As Head of Green Transport at EnergyAustralia, he is responsible for leading the company’s efforts to decarbonise the transport sector by identifying and scaling products and services for EnergyAustralia's Green Transport offerings. Jack has a track record of driving strategic initiatives and has held various leadership roles throughout his career, including Head of Strategy, Head of Reputation and Head of NextGen at EnergyAustralia, and Head of Strategic Planning for Siemens Energy business.
His expertise in business analysis, finance, M&A, and change management has been honed through various roles at Siemens, Jemena, and Alinta, where he played a key role in shaping the strategic direction of these companies. Jack's finance background and MBA from Deakin University further augment his ability to make informed and impactful decisions.

Mr Soulsby is Chairman of Lion Energy and one of Queensland's loudest proponents for green hydrogen solutions for bus operators challenged by zero emissions policies.
Mr Soulsby co-founded the Singapore based group Risco Energy in 2010 which has successfully deployed and actively managed over US$500m in investments over the last 12 years spanning Australia and Southeast Asia. He is a regional expert in energy business development, leadership and value creation.
Mr Soulsby pivoted Lion into Green Energy in 2021.
