Aaron de Rozario joined the National Transport Commission in July 2021and is responsible for NTC’s regulatory reform initiatives portfolio including the automated vehicle, heavy vehicle and legislative reform programs.
Aaron has over 20 years public sector experience in both Australia and the United Kingdom and has as a strong record of achievement in the economic development, education, social justice policy and transport portfolios. He has advised the Western Australian and Victorian governments on industry reform, regulatory matters and the impact of technology on public policy. Prior to joining the NTC, Aaron was Chief Executive officer of Commercial Passenger Vehicles Victoria, where he led the Victorian government’s commercial passenger vehicle reforms and heavily influenced Australia’s policy response to ridesharing.
Aaron has a strong interest in technology and using technology to improve safety and regulatory outcomes.

Sally is the Assistant Secretary of the Land Transport Policy branch within the Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts. Sally oversees heavy vehicle, rail and freight policy and has responsibility for key initiatives including: reform of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport to increase the accessibility of all public transport modes; and reforms to the Heavy Vehicle National Law to deliver better safety and productivity outcomes for the heavy vehicle sector. Sally has over eighteen years’ experience in the Australian Public Service with significant experience in transport policy including establishing the Office of Future Transport Technology, overseeing the Infrastructure and Transport Minister Meeting, leading foundational work on Heavy Vehicle Road Reform, and establishing the National Freight Data Hub.

Paul Davies has been Austroads’ General Manager Programs since April 2021. Before joining Austroads, Paul spent seven years at the National Transport Commission where he led a range of national transport reforms. Prior to this he has held various roles in public policy, sustainability, transport and energy, in the South Australian and Commonwealth Governments. Paul lives with his family in Melbourne.

Nathalie Sassen has been working for Keolis for the past ten years. As Head of Operations and Customer Experience her role is to deliver best-in-class mobility solutions to passengers and Public Transport Authorities. This has given her a very accurate understanding of the mobility needs in the different regions, each with its own regulatory and contractual framework, and an ability to innovate to meet their needs. Her expertise in network design and planning, customer experience and new mobilities, has been a real value for the development of Keolis in Europe and now in Australia. Nathalie is currently based in Sydney and now heads up Planning and Customer Experience in Keolis Downer’s Northern Beaches bus contract.

See Me: Transforming User Experience on Public Transport for Everyone

Cassie is a Programmer at SAGE Automation who is legally blind, providing expertise in user advocacy, software development and testing cycles. With over 7 years’ experience as a Development Supervisor in software development, Cassie has a focus on providing accessibility solutions from both a user experience perspective as well as the ability to apply best practices for accessible application development. With her lived experiences, she understands first-hand the need for accessible services and the lack of transit support solutions that are available for passengers with impairments. She is using her role at SAGE to aid in the development of life-changing technology for the public transport sector and guiding user-centric development as an advocate of those with accessibility needs.
