John Ditchburn is the Executive director of BusWA. After growing up in the small country town of Kukerin, John spent 5 years boarding at Aquinas College before returning to the farm for the next 25 years. The family moved to Mandurah in 1999. entered the surf industry and owned and operated a chain of surf stores for 15 years. John was heavily involved in the Peel Thunder football club firstly as senior coach followed by board member, president 2009-2015 and CEO from 2016- 2020

Luke is an experienced Executive Director holding senior positions in public, private, education and for-purpose sectors, domestically and internationally. A self-proclaimed generalist, Luke can develop genuine relationships with broad stakeholder groups and is driven to make a positive impact in all that he does. A common thread throughout Luke's career is that he is a people first leader, inspired by the stories of individuals and what makes them tick. He prioritises family time and adventures in the Tassie wild.

Peter has been part of BusVic since 2010, starting as the legal manager, general counsel and now nestling in as the executive director. Peter is a lawyer with extensive management experience who has worked across private law firms, the private and public sectors, managing staff and advising clients on public and private sector contracting, governance issues and arrangements, corporations law, transport and roads law (including risk management), industrial law, intellectual property and technology law, privacy law, and the development of legislation and legislative policy. Peter has an LLB from La Trobe University and an Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from Monash University.

Jason O’Dwyer is the Executive Director of the Queensland Bus Industry Council (QBIC), the peak representative body for private bus and coach operators in Queensland. He brings over 30 years of experience in human resources, industrial relations, and policy advocacy across multiple industries, including transport, construction, mining, health, and community services. Jason has held senior leadership roles in industry, employer associations, including Commerce Queensland, the Master Electricians Australia, and the Baking Industry Association, giving him deep insight into workforce, regulatory, and commercial issues across sectors. At QBIC, Jason leads strategic advocacy on safety, regulatory and contract reform, human resource and workforce development, and championing initiatives such as school and commercial sector funding and contracts, safety duties and operator obligations, and the transition to zero-emission buses. He is also a strong proponent of diversity and inclusion. Recognized for his solutions-focused approach, Jason works closely with government, industry, and community stakeholders to deliver sustainable outcomes for operators, workers, and passengers alike.

Craig is an experienced member services executive with proven success in member and stakeholder engagement plus industry advocacy, project management and policy development in the passenger transport and various other industries.

Matt Threlkeld is the Executive Director of BusNSW, assuming the role in August 2017. BusNSW incorporates the Bus & Coach Association (NSW) Inc, Bus and Coach Industrial Association (NSW), and Bus and Coach Co-operative Society NSW Ltd. Matt is an experienced transport and industry association senior executive with a background in managing contracts, people, fleet, marketing and events. Recognised for his bus industry knowledge, Matt has contributed to the development of bus service contracts, funding models, accreditation requirements, and enterprise agreements, and has experience in working with government and community consultation. Prior to joining BusNSW in an industry development role, Matt was a third-generation operator of a large bus and coach business in South West Sydney. As General Manager, Matt managed the company’s government contracts, accreditation compliance, service delivery, employee relations and communications. Matt has a strong focus on the corporate brand, and has developed and implemented rebranding campaigns whilst managing marketing across online and offline mediums. After spending his childhood cleaning buses, Matt started driving buses from age 20 whilst completing a Commerce Degree.
