Kirsten is the National Industrial Relations Manager for the Bus Industry Confederation. At the same time, Kirsten heads up the Australian Public Transport Industrial Association (APTIA), which is the industrial arm of BIC. Kirsten has almost 15 years’ experience in people leadership roles across multiple industries. Notably, 7 years across the bus and passenger transport industry. Kirsten holds a Juris Doctor from the Australian National University, a Master of Human Resource Management (Employee Relations) and Bachelor of Management (Psychology). Kirsten is also a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) and former State President and Councillor of the NT AHRI Council.

Patrice Scerri is the Executive General Manager – Safety & Sustainability at Ventura, Victoria’s largest bus operator. With experience across transport, mining, fire engineering, high-performing safety systems, and risk management, she leads Ventura’s safety and sustainability strategy. Patrice drives continuous improvement in workplace safety, road safety, operational risk, and compliance, while fostering a proactive safety culture across Ventura’s 1,800+ workforce. She is passionate about early intervention and embedding safer behaviours throughout the organisation. Patrice also leads sustainability initiatives supporting Ventura’s commitment to cleaner, more environmentally responsible public transport for millions of Victorian customers each year.

Ben Motro is a Partner in Piper Alderman’s Sydney office, and a member of the firm's Employment Relations team. Ben's primary area of expertise is in employment law and industrial relations. Ben provides advice to clients in all areas of employment law, industrial relations, discrimination law, and workplace health and safety, and in a variety of industries – including extensive work with clients in the bus industry including operators and associated businesses in the bus industry. Ben has had significant experience with advising on and preparing employment contracts, enterprise agreements, deeds of release and employer policies. He also assists clients in litigious matters, and has extensive experience in the Fair Work Commission, Federal Courts, and the Supreme Court.

Chris Greentree is a workforce development and vocational education specialist with extensive experience supporting the transport and logistics sector. As Industry Engagement Manager with Industry Skills Australia, he works with employers, industry associations, unions, government agencies and training providers to identify emerging workforce challenges and develop practical skills solutions. Drawing on more than two decades of experience across education, training and industry engagement, Chris has led workforce initiatives spanning transport, logistics, automotive, manufacturing and technology-driven industries. His work is informed by both senior leadership experience within the VET sector and a strong understanding of industry skills and workforce requirements. Chris is passionate about connecting industry needs with training, workforce planning and policy solutions that support productivity, workforce participation and safer workplaces.
