David Speers is the ABC's National Political Lead and host of "Insiders" on Sunday mornings. He regularly interviews the nation's political leaders, decision makers, and leading analysts. Over more than two decades covering federal politics, David has hosted many Leaders' Debates, election nights and won a number of awards for his interviewing and journalism, including Walkley Awards and a Logie.

The Hon Dan Tehan MP is the Member for Wannon in Victoria and was elected to Federal Parliament in 2010. He is currently the Shadow Minister for Energy and Emissions Reduction, and the Manager of Opposition Business. Previously, he has served as Shadow Minister for Immigration and Citizenship from 2022 to 2025, Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment from December 2020 until the 2022 election. Prior to this, he served as Minister for Education from August 2018 until December 2020. Between 2018 and 2016, Mr Tehan also served as Minister for Social Services, Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, Minister for Defence Personnel, Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for Cyber Security and Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of Anzac. He has held the position of the Chair of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security; Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Friends of Youth Mental Health, and; Chair of the Coalition Friends of Tourism. Prior to entering Parliament, Mr Tehan worked in agriculture in Australia and overseas. He worked in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade where he held various roles, including as a diplomat at the Australian Embassy in Mexico. Mr Tehan also worked at senior levels of the Howard Government, and as the Director of Trade Policy and International Affairs at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr Tehan has Masters Degrees in International Relations and Foreign Affairs, and Trade. He lives in Hamilton, Victoria. He is a passionate supporter of the Richmond Football Club.

David Callahan is a seasoned executive with 20 years of leadership across Australia’s transport, infrastructure, FMCG, and public service sectors. Currently Executive Director Bus Transformation at Transport for NSW, he leads the NSW Government Bus Taskforce, tackling strategic and operational challenges in public transport. His expertise spans stakeholder engagement, commercial management, and strategic execution. David previously held senior roles at Sydney Trains and RailCorp, where he led reform initiatives including the “Fixing the Trains” programme. He also served as CEO of Sydney Ferries and Deputy Director General at the NSW Department of Finance & Services, following a decade with Coca-Cola Amatil. David holds an MBA from Western Sydney University, a BA from La Trobe University, and is a GAICD graduate. He completed a Fellowship at ANZSOG, earned PROSCI certification, and studied at Harvard Business School. His board experience includes the NSW State Contract Control Board and Sydney Ferries Corporation.

Ben Hague is Chief Commercial Officer at Busways, bringing deep experience across public transport operations, government contracting, commercial strategy and technology-enabled mobility in Australia and New Zealand. Ben leads Busways’ commercial strategy and growth, including market opportunities and the commercial arrangements underpinning new contracts and transport models. With more than a decade in public transport across government and operator roles, including major bus and rail contracts and on-demand transport, he understands how services are funded, contracted and delivered. He applies this perspective to develop commercially sustainable solutions to deliver better transport outcomes for people in partnership with government. Ben brings together experience from government, consulting and high-growth technology to support Busways’ continued growth. His focus includes strengthening client partnerships, supporting future contract opportunities, and guiding the business through ongoing transformation, including the transition to zero-emission buses. Ben holds an MBA from Deakin University and Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Law from the University of Waikato.

Jay Zmijewski is Chief Operating Officer, Bus at Keolis, where he leads bus operations across Australia. He has extensive experience in public transport operations and network delivery in both Australia and New Zealand, including the transition to zero‑emission fleets and the delivery of complex electrification projects. Jay has held senior operational roles across the sector, leading large and diverse bus networks in complex operating environments.

Sarah Capstick is the Executive Director of Passenger Transport Contracts at Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads. Sarah has an extensive career in the public transport sector spanning national and international markets across both public and private sector organisations leading various streams including strategy, policy, service planning, customer and most recently contract management. Throughout her career, Sarah has balanced strategic intent and operational activities to deliver seamless structural, behavioural and cultural transformational change focused on improving customer experience. Sarah is well known for her strong inclusive leadership style, and natural ability to distil complex challenges into pragmatic solutions. In her current role, Sarah is responsible for managing Queensland State Government’s bus, ferry and long-distance coach contracts with a focus on driving continuous improvement and excellent customer outcomes.
